For one weekend each November, artists across the West Bay open their studios to anyone who wants to walk in. West Bay Open Studios is a free, self guided tour running Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. across Warwick, East Greenwich and North Kingstown, and it is the one weekend of the year when you can see where the work actually gets made, ask the questions you would normally never get to ask, and buy directly from the person who made the thing. Build Warwick Center for the Arts into your route: the 40th Annual Rhode Island Open is on view in the second floor gallery, Wednesday to Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m., with work by artists from across the state, and admission is free.
